Talented winger Anjorin still at Chelsea after loan move to Huddersfield Town
Published: February 19, 2022Huddersfield Town coach Carlos Corberán has confirmed that Faustino Anjorin will not be available for selection when his side face Fulham in a Championship clash at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
The talented England youth international of Nigerian descent joined the Terriers on loan for the remainder of the season in the January transfer window but is still at Chelsea undergoing rehabilitation after suffering an injury during his loan spell with Lokomotiv Moscow in the first half of the season.
Anjorin has been inactive since playing for 65 minutes in Lokomotiv Moscow's 2-1 win at Nizhny Novgorod in the Russian Premier League on October 30, a game that took his total appearances for the Railwaymen to nine before his loan spell was cut short.
Lokomotiv Moscow claimed that the winger had to return to his parent club Chelsea due to the foreign footballers limit.
Providing a fitness update ahead of today's clash, Corberán said to HTTV : "Tino Anjorin is still working with the Chelsea medical staff. We hope that he will be with us next week."
The 20-year-old Anjorin, who has been on the books of Chelsea since U9 level, has a contract with the world champions until June 30, 2025.
