Chukwueze named in La Liga Team of the Week after registering ten successful dribbles
Published: May 09, 2022Samuel Chukwueze has been recognized for his outstanding performance for Villarreal in the last round of matches in the Spanish top-flight with football statistics website Whoscored.com naming the Nigeria international in its Team of the Week.
Five days after Villarreal crashed out of the UEFA Champions League at the semifinal stage, Chukwueze helped the Yellow Submarine maintain a late push for European football, starring in a 1-1 draw with Sevilla at La Cerámica.
Giovani Lo Celso's 86th opener was canceled out by Jules Koundé in the fifth minute of stoppage time.
In the Team of the Week, Chukwueze, with a rating of 8.2, was deployed as the right sided midfielder.

Chukwueze registered a joint game-high three shots with one on target in 82 minutes of action, and made a joint game-high two tackles while winning one foul for his team.
The Super Eagles star registered a game-high ten successful dribbles, six more than the entire Sevilla team combined.
Chukwueze was accurate in 70 percent of his passes and registered 47 touches.
