Official : Adana Demirspor loan in Super Eagles star from Greek champions
Published: July 10, 2022Super Eagles star Henry Onyekuru has joined Adana Demirspor, the Turkish Super Lig club announced on social media on Sunday afternoon.
The Olympiakos striker will be spending the entirety of the 2022-2023 season on loan at Adana Demirspor, with an option to buy him from the Greek champions included in the agreement between both clubs.
It was a foregone conclusion that Onyekuru was leaving Olympiakos in the summer transfer window, having struggled in his first season in Greece.

In 27 outings for the Red and Whites, he managed only one goal and one assist in 1,414 minutes of action.
The Super Eagle has a good reputation in Turkey largely due to his exploits at Galatasaray, with whom he won the Super Lig and Turkish Cup in the 2018-2019 season.
In three different loan spells at Galatasaray, he mustered an impressive 34 goal involvements (22 goals, 12 assists) in 71 all-competition appearances.
Onyekuru's previous clubs include KAS Eupen, Everton, RSC Anderlecht and AS Monaco.
Adana Demirspor finished ninth in the 20-team table at the end of last season.
