The Starters
Goalkeeper
Chiamaka Nnadozie: Another commanding performance since her return to the lineup. Vocal and directed her teammates admirably. Was almost a spectator as she only gathered routine balls. 7/10
Defenders
Onome Ebi: Solid display. Calm and outstanding positioning. Her aerial presence also helped calm things at the back. 7.5/10
Ohale Osinachi: Great display alongside her partner. They didn't allow anything behind them and were the springboard for attacks from deep. 7.5/10
Toni Payne: Shifted to right-back after her outstanding performance against Botswana. She didn't have the angle she had last match available to her which took away some attacking flair. Tucked in at centre-back effectively when Ebi ventured forward occasionally. 7.5/10
Nicole Payne: Didn't venture forward as much as she would have liked but made sure she was a good build-up facilitator. Could do better. 6/10
Midfielders and strikers
Christy Ucheibe: Repaid her manager's trust with a robust performance from the middle of the park. Kept things flowing and was decisive in defensive actions. 7.5/10
Peace Efih: Smash and grab goal in the 28th minute after an error from the Burundi defender. Missed a great opportunity from point-blank range in the 42nd minute and should have done better. Overall, she was instrumental in asserting control in the midfield. 7.5/10
Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene: Not much improvement from her previous performance against Botswana but was more involved here. She had better movement and anticipation but has not performed anywhere near her level. 7/10
Rasheedat Ajibade: Good early combinational play in the 5th minute but couldn't get the perfect cross. A threat with her direct running and won Nigeria's penalty with which she scored the opening goal in the 24th minute.
Got the assist for the third goal after a lung-bursting run. 9/10
Uchenna Kanu: Got on the score-sheet barely a minute after Efih's goal after some outstanding play from Ajibade. Got her brace immediately after the restart from Ajibade's cross. 8.5/10
Ifeoma Onumonu: Lively performance but wasn't at her clinical best today. Had great chances in the 1st and 41st minute but was unable to convert any. Hardworking and made her presence felt in the forward line. 7.5/10
The Substitutes
Glory Ogbonna: Replaced Nicole Payne in the 47th minute and added more attacking drive than her teammate. 6.5/10
Gift Monday: Great cameo. Replaced Onumonu in the 47th minute and caused all sorts of problems with her pace and diagonal runs. 6.5/10
Vivian Ikechukwu: Replaced Ajibade in the 62nd minute and helped bring more bite to the midfield. Very eager to make an impression. 6/10
Chinonyerem Macleans: Came on for Uchenna Kanu in the 62nd minute and did what was asked of her. 5.5/10
Akudo Ogbonna: Came on in the 76th minute to replace Ebi and was good but not as authoritative as the veteran. 5/10
