Chelsea winger likely to stay at Stamford Bridge amid Manchester United interest
Published: August 22, 2022Premier League side, Manchester United are set to miss out on United States Men's National Team star, Christian Pulisic.
The American winger was said to be attracting interest from the Red Devils, with a loan deal being mooted.
According to The Daily Mail, Erik Ten Hag led side have since put those discussions on hold .
The 23-year-old is believed to prefer a club playing in the UEFA Champions League even if he were to leave Chelsea.
Asides Pulisic's preference, it's believed that Chelsea are bent on a permanent sale, but will sanction a loan move if the former Borussia Dortmund star signs a contract extension.
He's also said to be ready to put up a fight in getting regular game time under Thomas Tuchel.
With Chelsea willing to approve the exits of Callum Hudson-Odoi and Hakim Ziyech, Pulisic would likely have less competition for a prominent role at Stamford Bridge this season.
Since joining the Blues in the summer of 2019, he has played 118 games and has had 44 goal involvements (25 goals and 19 assists).
