Published: August 25, 2022English Premier League side, Chelsea are preparing an African record bid for Leicester City's Ivory-Coast eligible defender Wesley Fofana.
According to transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano, the Franco-Ivorian center-back is a high priority for Chelsea and a new bid worth £75 million is being prepared.
Although other clubs are interested in the services of Fofana, he has insisted that he only wants a move to Chelsea.

The 21-year-old joined Leicester City in October 2020 from French Ligue 1, AS Saint-Etienne for €40 million.
Since making his debut for the Foxes, he has played 52 matches , scoring one goal and providing an assist.
With his future up in the air, the France U21 international has not shown his commitment to play for Leicester City's first team and has been banished to the development squad.
If Fofana's deal to Chelsea goes through, he would become the most expensive African player in history, overtaking another French-born Ivorian player Nicolas Pepe who joined Arsenal from Lille in exchange for £72 million.
