Transfer expert confirms Super Eagles star is 'definitely a potential top target' for Man Utd
Published: August 30, 2022German transfer market guru Florian Plettenberg has confirmed that Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen is a player of interest to Manchester United ahead of the close of the summer transfer window.
It has been suggested that Portuguese football agent Jorge Mendes, who handles the affairs of Manchester United icon Cristiano Ronaldo, has proposed a swap deal with Napoli that would see Osimhen move in the opposite direction.
Napoli manager admitted earlier this week that it would be difficult for the Blues to turn down a bid in the region of 100 million euros for Osimhen.
Plettenberg has suggested that Osimhen is definitely a potential top transfer target for Manchester United and a move to Old Trafford does not hinge on Ronaldo being part of the deal.
The Sky Sport Germany reporter added that United bosses see a lot of quality and development potential in the Nigeria international.
X News #Osimhen: He‘s definitely a potential top transfer target for #MUFC! Regardless of whether a swap deal with #Ronaldo works out or not. The bosses see a lot of quality & development potential in him. He’s on the list. No negotiations with him at this stage. @SkySportDE 🇳🇬

It is important to note that no negotiations have taken place regarding Osimhen joining Manchester United, two days before the transfer window closes for business.
The 2015 U17 World Cup winner has three years left on his contract with Napoli, whom he joined from Lille for a Nigerian transfer record of 70 million euros.
