Chelsea recall 2019 Golden Eaglets invitee from loan spell
Published: September 02, 2022Allnigeriasoccer.com has been told that Chelsea have recalled 2019 Golden Eaglets invitee Prince Adegoke from his loan spell at Welling United.
Adegoke joined the National League South club in July 2022 on a season-long loan from Chelsea.
The Blues have decided to cancel the loan agreement with Welling United which was set to expire next summer due to the goalkeeper being starved of playing time.
Adegoke was a non-playing substitute on the opening day of the season against Taunton Town and missed out entirely on the matchdy squad in their next five games.
Two days after joining Welling United, he made his friendly debut for the Wings, playing the first half of a 7-3 rout of Combined Counties Football League side Beckenham Town F.C.
Last season, Adegoke was Chelsea's first choice goalkeeper in the prestigious FA Youth Cup, totaling five appearances before they were beaten by Nottingham Forest in the semifinals.
The 18-year-old, who signed his first professional contract in November 2020, has been on the books of Chelsea since the age of twelve.
