Tuchel rues sack decision, inability to work with Chukwuemeka and other Chelsea Stars
Published: September 11, 2022Former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel on Sunday penned an emotional letter to fans, players of the club including Nigeria-eligible Carney Chukwuemeka and staff of the club in the aftermath of his shock sacking at the club less than two years after winning the UEFA Champions League as manager.
Chukwuemeka was one of Tuchel's summer signings but would not have the privilege of working with the coach but would rather have Graham Potter in charge of his development.
This is one of the most difficult statements I have ever had to write - and it is one which I hoped I would not need to do for many years. I am devastated that my time at Chelsea has come to an end. pic.twitter.com/0TTlUOjWDx

The official statement from Tuchel of his exit as Chelsea manager read as follows:
"This is one of the most difficult statements I have ever had to write - and it is one which I hoped I would not need to do for many years.
"I am devastated that my time at Chelsea has come to an end.
"This is a club where I felt at home, both professionally and personally. Thank you so much to all the staff, the players and the supporters for making me feel very welcome from the start."
Tuchel who had stints at Borussia Dortmund and PSG before arriving at Chelsea used the opportunity to subtly remind the Chelsea hierarchy of his achievements whilst in charge of the team.
"The pride and joy I felt at helping the team to win the Champions League and the Club World Cup will stay with me forever, the sun.co.uk stated.
"I am honoured to have been a part of this club’s history and the memories of the last 19 months will always have a special place in my heart, " the coach wrote in his social media post.
Chukwuemeka was a £20m signing from Aston Villa after refusing to extend his contract at his former club.
The 2022 European U19 champion was named in three matchday squads by Tuchel but was not utilized off the bench in any of the games.
