Confirmed Nigeria starting XI : Chelsea product, Brentford, Nottingham Forest, Watford stars in

Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has announced his starting lineup for Friday evening's international friendly against Algeria's home-based team at the Chahid Hamlaoui stadium in Constantine, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

Watford goalkeeper Maduka Okoye starts in goal for the first time since the 1-0 loss to Tunisia at the 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Three familiar faces are paired to protect the goalkeeper and they're supported by two wing backs.

William Troost-Ekong, Chidioze Awaziem and Valentine Ozornwafor start in defense.

Chelsea academy product Ola Aina has also been named in the starting lineup, his fourth consecutive appearance under Peseiro., while Ebube Duru, a late invitee, makes his unofficial debut for the Super Eagles A team. 

Brentford midfielder Frank Onyeka is in the middle of the park alongside  debutant Raphael Onyedika.

Nottingham Forest star Taiwo Awoniyi starts up front and he is flanked by Ademola Lookman and Chidera Ejuke.

The Super Eagles starting lineup to face Algeria is as follows : Maduka Okoye, William Troost-Ekong, Chidozie Awaziem, Valentine Ozornwafor, Ebube Duru,  Ola Aina, Frank Onyeka, Raphael Onyedika, Ademola Lookman, Chidera Ejuke and Taiwo Awoniyi.
