COO NLO, five chairmen of Nigerian clubs to watch Chelsea U21s v Man Utd at Kingsmeadow
Published: October 13, 2022Chief Operating Officer of the Nationwide League One, Shola Ogunnowo in the company of five chairmen of NLO clubs will be in attendance at Kingsmeadow in Surrey on Saturday afternoon when Chelsea host Manchester United in the Premier League.2.
According to a press release by the NLO sent to allnigeriasoccer.com, the five club bosses are Mr Kayode Akanji Agboola (Magic Stars FC Lagos State); Mr Ibrahim Dada (Maikunkele FC Minna); Mr Adedeji Oshin (Deluxe FC Jos); Dr Alex Arinze (Okaka FC Lagos) and Mr Adeniyi Ogunleye ( De. Royal Stars FC, Abuja).
Ogunnowo and the five chairmen of NLO clubs began a eight-day business tour of England on Wednesday, October 12.
The NLO chief and chairmen of the Nigerian clubs could run the rule over a couple of players of Nigerian descent during the game between Chelsea and Manchester United.
Exciting right-back Derrick Abu is in line to feature for The Blues having started their last four games in all competitions, while the Red Devils have in their ranks talented winger Shola Shoretire.
Shoretire and Abu have played non-binding games for England youth teams - all of them friendlies - and are age-eligible to represent the Flying Eagles.
Ogunnowo and the five bosses are in England for core football business discussions and possible affiliation with clubs.
