Nigerian exports : Osimhen, Onuachu, Olayinka, Aguda on fire; Ekong ends drought; Babajide nets equaliser

Allnigeriasoccer.com's review of the Nigeria-eligible players that found the net for their respective European clubs in league matches on Sunday, October 23, 2022.

In the EFL Championship, William Troost-Ekong ended a 715-day goal drought as Watford got back to winning ways in style with an emphatic 4-0 win over Luton Town at Vicarage Road.

In the 45th minute, the Super Eagles central defender fired in from close range after the ball was nodded into his path, his second goal in Watford colours since his move from Udinese in September 2020.

Elsewhere, Paul Onuachu continued his rich vein of form by netting a brace for Racing Genk in a 3-1 success against Alhassan Yusuf's Royal Antwerp at Bosuilstadion (Deurne).

Twelve minutes before halftime, the FC Ebedei product nodded home a corner kick to double the away team's advantage and restored their two-goal cushion by heading a free-kick into the net, after Antwerp pulled one back,

Onuachu has scored in five consecutive matches in the Jupiler Pro League, just as he did on two separate occasions during the 2020-2021 season.

Victor Osimhen is also on fire with the Napoli striker netting the game-winning goal to help his team secure a 1-0 win over Jose Mourinho's AS Roma in a Serie A clash at the Stadio Olimpico.

Ten minutes from time, the Super Eagles striker fired home a wonderful strike after getting the better of former Manchester United defender Chris Smalling.

Osimhen has scored in each of his last three matches for the Blues since returning to action after a five-week absence.

Peter Olayinka was on target in the 304th Prague derby as Slavia hammered bitter rivals Sparta 4-0 at Fortuna Arena.

Three minutes into first half stoppage time, Olayinka fired the ball through the legs of the goalkeeper to wrap up the scoring.

The 26-year-old has either scored or assisted in each of his last four games for Slavia Prague in domestic competitions alone.

Over to the Turkish Super Lig. Babajide David's headed goal in the 32nd minute salvaged a point for Adana Demirspor at the Yeni Adana Stadyumu in a 1-1 draw with Konyaspor.

David, a product of famous grassroots club FC Ebedei, took his tally for the season to three in eleven league matches following his goal against Konyaspor.

In the Swedish Ettan, unsung striker Godwin Aguda is on a three-game scoring streak.

The 24-year-old opened the scoring in the 23rd minute as Falkenbergs FF beat FC Trollhättan 2-0 at the Falcon Alkoholfri Arena.

As previously reported, Arsenal loanee Folarin Balogun and  Chelsea-reared fullback Ola Aina were on target for Stade de Reims and Torino respectively in 2-1 wins.
