Torino release another medical bulletin on injured Super Eagles defender
Published: October 28, 2022Torino have released another medical bulletin on injured Super Eagles right-back Ola Aina before their Italian Serie A clash against AC Milan at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.
The Nigeria international did not complete training on Wednesday due to injury and the initial diagnosis was that he sustained an injury to his left hamstring.
More detailed tests have been carried out and everyone's worst fears have been confirmed, with the defender set for a spell on the sidelines ahead of the Super Eagles' upcoming friendlies with Costa Rica and Portugal.
Torino reported on Friday that the the instrumental tests to which Aina was subjected confirmed the picture of the magnetic resonance: myotendinous lesion of the left hamstring.
No timeframe has been given for Aina's return to training and he will be assessed according to the clinical evolution of the injury.
It is a foregone conclusion that Croatian football manager Ivan Juric will not be able to call upon the services of the 26-year-old against AC Milan.
This season, Aina has appeared in ten matches in the Italian top-flight, scoring one goal.
