Manchester United still have interest in 23-cap Nigeria international
Published: November 09, 2022Victor Osimhen remains a player of interest to Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to Manchester Evening News, Osimhen is of interest to the Red Devils as they draft up their long and shortlists of goalscoring targets next year.
The 23-cap Nigeria international was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in the summer but Manchester United higher ups prioritized the signing of Antony over the Nigerian.
The Manchester newspaper has suggested that Napoli will come under pressure to sell Osimhen next summer when he enters the final two years of his contract.
Ideally, Manchester United would like to bolster their attack ahead of the start of the 2023-2024 campaign, with the future of Cristiano Ronaldo up in the air and French striker Anthony Martial always having fitness issues.
Osimhen is carving out a reputation as one of the trusted center forwards in the top five European Leagues, having mustered 45 goals in 88 league appearances combined for Lille and Napoli.
A move to the Premier League in the future is inevitable but United will be facing competition for his signature.
