Nigeria, England or USA? Arsenal striker reveals when he'll make decision on international future
Published: November 13, 2022Arsenal-owned striker Folarin Balogun has revealed when he will make a decision on his international future.
Although he has been playing for the Young Lions for four years, the Hale End Academy graduate, who is on loan at Stade de Reims, also has the opportunity to play international football for the senior national team of United States, where he was born, as well as Nigeria, his parents' country.
The Anglo-American-Nigerian attacker has made it clear that he will put an end to the speculation surrounding his international future very soon.
In a recent interview with the official website of the French Ligue 1, Balogun stressed that his decision will not be influenced by the media and fans.
The 21-year-old gets asked a lot of questions about his international future and he has admitted that it's something that is not difficult to deal with despite his young age.
"I don't have a problem with it. It's the role of the media to ask these kinds of questions and I accept it," Balogun said.
"I'm going to make a decision soon and that decision will not depend on what the media or people think but on what is best for me. We will talk about it quietly with my family."
Balogun has scored eight goals and assisted one in fifteen French topflight appearances this season.
