Flying Eagles midfielder Nnadi reveals he loves Man Utd amid links with Dynamo Moscow
Published: July 03, 2023Flying Eagles midfielder to the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina, Tochukwu Nnadi has revealed his admiration for Manchester United with interest said to be coming his way from Russian Premier League side Dynamo Moscow.
The Botev Plovdiv of Bulgaria youngster was one of the standout players for the team coached by Ladan Bosso at the tournament in Argentina, featuring in all the five matches including three starts.
Nnadi spoke to Eagles Tracker on his love for the Old Trafford side and the United icon whom he models his game after.
"I love Manchester United. I tried to model my game after Michael Carrick, he was on top at that moment so I was really watching him a lot and Cristiano Ronaldo also," Nnadi told EaglesTracker.
"I can be a good player like Sofyan Amrabat, Jude Bellingham and a lot of them. I like to be calm with the ball and aggressive without the ball.
"I want to be a great midfielder that people will talk about. My qualities are reading of the game and positioning also.
Speaking further about his qualities, strengths and weakness as a midfield player, Nnadi said:
"I like short combinations, I'm not really good at giving long balls because I don't want to make a mistake in the game. I don't want to give a pass where it will not get to the person (teammates)," Nnadi stressed.
Former Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo is the only Nigerian-born footballer to have played for Manchester United when he was loaned in from Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua with United legend, Ole Gunnar Solskjær in charge of the team.
Nnadi has resumed pre-season training at Botev Plovdiv and played the second half of the club's 1-0 win over Aris in a friendly on Sunday, July 2.
