Transfer saga rages on: Fulham reject N8.5b bid for Tottenham target Tosin
Published: August 16, 2023The Tosin Adarabioyo transfer saga remains unresolved with approximately two weeks to the close of the summer transfer window.
Frank Trimboli, the agent mandated by Fulham to negotiate the transfer of the Manchester-born Nigerian central defender, is doing everything possible to move the Manchester City academy product to Tottenham Hotspur rather than Monaco.
Tosin has insisted that he cannot be forced to join Tottenham Hotspur against his wishes and is angling for a move to Monaco, allnigeriasoccer.com has been told..
According to The Athletic UK (subscription required), the Cottagers have turned down the Ligue 1 outfit's latest bid of 10 million euros (approximately N8.5b) bid for the Anglo-Nigerian centre-back.
Monaco had earlier submitted a 7 million euros bid for Tosin but it was deemed insufficient by Fulham.
The Red and Whites need a right-footed centre back having sold Axel Disasi to Chelsea this summer and have identified the Fulham defender as an ideal replacement
Tosin has entered the last one year of his contract with Fulham and he's not willing to extend his stay at Craven Cottage.
He made 25 appearances in the Premier League for the London-based club last season and registered one goal.
The 25-year-old was not named in the matchday squad when Fulham beat Everton last weekend amid speculation surrounding his future.
