Sarpsborg announce deal to sign exciting winger Job after seeing off competition from UAE table-toppers
Published: February 24, 2024With a statement on their official website, Norwegian Eliteserien club Sarpsborg 08 FF have confirmed the signing of talented Nigerian winger Daniel Job on a loan deal from Future Pro Football Club, the same Lagos-based academy that produced former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles captain, Ramon Azeez.
Job has put pen to paper on a five -month contract with Sarpsborg 08, who have the option to make the deal permanent in the summer.
Sarpsborg 08 have pulled off a transfer coup luring the 18-year-old to Østfold county, seeing off competition from United Arab Emirates table-toppers Al Wasl to land his services.
According to his minders, Job trained with Al Wasl (as shown in the image) but a proposed move broke down at the last minute due to financial terms.
Sarpsborg 08 have offered the youngster, who has tremendous pace and is capable of playing on both flanks, a contract following a successful trial.
Job describes himself as a winger who is good one on one, likes to create chances, make assists and score goals.
The 18-year-old will be aiming to follow in the footsteps of Super Eagles forward Aaron Samuel who shone for Sarpsborg 08 before moving on to greener pastures.
