Confirmed: Swedish club BK Hacken sign Nigerian winger from Porto
Published: February 28, 2024Through a statement on their official website, Swedish Allsvenskan club BK Hacken have announced the signing of Nigeria-eligible winger Jeremy Agbonifo from Portuguese giants Porto.
The 18-year-old, a Sweden youth international, has returned to BK Hacken, two years and four months after he left them to join the Primeira Liga giants.
Agbonifo has signed a contract with BK Hacken until the summer of 2027.
The promising winger did not play for Porto's youth teams this season and was training on his own before agreeing terms with BK Hacken.
Last season, he appeared in four matches for Porto in the UEFA Youth League, coming off the bench against Atlético Madrid, Club Brugge twice and Panathinaikos.
In 2021, Agbofino played 14 games in the P17 Allsvenskan and accounted for thirteen goals.
BK Häcken's sports director, Martin Ericsson has described Agbonifo as a wing forward who likes to challenge his defender with an edge in his speed, power and fine left foot.
Agbonifo links up with Nigerian midfielder and Anderlecht loanee Ishaq Abdulrazak at BK Hacken.
