Ola Aina names Man Utd legend as toughest opponent he's faced, Chelsea icon as best player he's played with
Published: May 01, 2024Nigeria international Ola Aina took part in a question-and-answer session ahead of Nottingham Forest's Premier League clash against Sheffield United.
The versatile fullback singled out Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo as his toughest opponent and selected Chelsea icon Eden Hazard as the best player he has had the opportunity to play alongside in his career.
Aina started his career as a right winger before transitioning to defense, where he earned a reputation as a mobile fullback with the ability to operate on either flank or occasionally in the center-back role.
Of his six first team appearances for Chelsea, Aina played alongside Hazard in Premier League matches against Leicester City, Bournemouth and Watford, and League Cup games with Bristol Rovers and West Ham United.
Retired Belgium international Hazard spent seven years at Chelsea, helping the Londoners win the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League before joining Real Madrid in 2019.
When asked to reveal the best player he has played with in his career, Aina replied: "I wouldn't say the best but I'll probably put maybe Eden Hazard."
Aina faced Ronaldo on four occasions in the Serie A during his time with Torino, with the Portugal superstar finding the net in three of those games.
Ronaldo is the all-time top scorer for international goals, netting 128 in 206 matches for Portugal since making his international debut twenty one years ago.
Asked to name the toughest opponent he has ever played against, Aina said: "Cristiano Ronaldo".
As for the favorite game he has played for Nottingham Forest, Aina chose Forest's 2-0 win against Aston Villa at the City Ground, and picked his goal against the Villans as his favorite Nottingham Forest moment.
