Man Utd hold new talks with Dutch-Nigerian striker's representatives over possible summer switch
Published: July 06, 2024Manchester United have continued their push to sign Dutch-Nigerian striker Joshua Zirkzee this summer.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Premier League giants have held new talks with the representatives of the forward about contract terms, salary and commission required to sign him.
With AC Milan's refusal to pay his agent Kia Joorabchian reported €15m commission, Manchester United have entered the race to sign the striker and could just beat the Rossoneri to his signature.
The Red Devils' manager Erik ten Hag has been in constant discussion with the 23-year-old in a bid to convince him to join his side with some reports stating that he prefers to stay in the Serie A.
Zirkzee is being considered as one who could help add more firepower to the English side's attack, following their profligacy in front of goal last season which made them finish 8th in the Premier League standings, their worst record in the English top-flight till date.
The Bayern Munich academy product enjoyed a fruitful campaign with Bologna last term and has caught the attention of European heavyweights, with Manchester United and AC Milan being the sides with the most keen interest in his services.
He is presently with the Netherlands squad in the 2024 European championship but is yet to make an appearance in the competition, thereby making him still eligible to play for the Super Eagles.
