Fabrizio Romano reveals Napoli star Osimhen is on PSG list but club-to-club agreement not close
Published: July 12, 2024Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has given an update on PSG's pursuit of Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen.
The Ligue 1 champions are the only remaining side genuinely linked with the Napoli star as Premier clubs Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal who were previously credited with an interest in his services not ready to pay huge sum for him.
PSG are reportedly ready to pay €200m for the 25-year-old and his teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia though it remains unclear how much they will be offering for the Nigerian striker.
What is clear is that Napoli aren't willing to listen to any offer less than his €130m release clause which means the Parisians should be ready to cough out more if they are to sign the African Men's Player of the Year this summer.
Speaking on Mondopengwin durante KickOff, Romano revealed that while Osimhen is on PSG's transfer list but the Ligue 1 giants are not close to reaching an agreement with Napoli.
"Osimhen is on PSG's list, but as of today, the agreement between the clubs is not close. Napoli has a clause of 120 million, a figure that seems quite unrealistic. If the blue club were to receive offers lower than 80 million it would be difficult for it to sell him."
Osimhen has resumed for the Parthenopeans' pre-season preparations with Antonio Conte running the rule over him and the rest of his teammates.
If the status quo remains, he will be in contention to feature during the Italian giants' clash with Modena in the Copa Italia on August 10 which will be their opening game of the season.
