The major headline is that Asisat Oshoala, who previously played for Barcelona, Arsenal, and Liverpool, has not made it into the starting lineup, with the American football tactician handing starting berths to Chinwendu Ihezuo and Atlético Madrid's Rasheedat Ajibade.
Paris FC shot stopper Chiamaka Nnadozie is in goal and she's protected by a defensive back four consisting of Michelle Alozie, Ohale Osinachi, Oluwatosin Demehin and Chidinma Okeke.
2023 Fifa Women's World Cup stars Deborah Abiodun and Toni Payne are joined in midfield by Paris Saint-Germain newbie Jennifer Echegini and Benfica's utility player Christy Ucheibe.
The inclusion of Ihezuo and Ajibade in the starting lineup means Ifeoma Onumonu, who replaced the injured Halimatu Ayinde on the 18-player roster, Uchenna Kanu, Chinonyerem Macleans and Esther Okoronkwo are on the substitutes bench.
Five substitutions are allowed during the course of the game at Stade Matmut-Atlantique in Bordeaux.
