Osimhen risks being fined by Napoli after altercation with fan who filmed him at Naples nightclub
Published: August 12, 2024A video posted by the TikTok user Roberto Cerullo, showing Napoli striker Victor Osimhen at a famous nightclub in Naples has been circulating on social media in recent hours.
In the fourteen-second video, Osimhen was clearly upset that he was being recorded and approached the fan with anger before the video abruptly stops.
After he noticed that he was being filmed, the Nigeria international pushed his way through the crowd to snatch the phone from the fan's hands.
In one of the soap operas of the summer transfer window, the future of the Napoli center forward has yet to be resolved with eighteen days left before the window closes for business.
Osimhen has communicated to Napoli that he wants to leave and the club have already lined up a replacement in Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.
It's not that he does not have admirers but the interested clubs Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea have been put off by his valuation, with Napoli insisting that his release clause of 130 million euros must be triggered before a deal is done.
The transfer fee should not be an issue for Saudi Arabian clubs but Osimhen does not want to move to the Gulf at this stage of his career.
According to Italian sports daily Corriere dello Sport, Osimhen was annoyed because he was caught late at night in the Neapolitan nightlife.
The report added that the reigning African Footballer of the Year is likely to be fined by Napoli as new manager Antonio Conte has zero tolerance on such issues.
