'No game in the Championship is easy' - Victor Moses says ahead of Luton's trip to Blackburn Rovers
Published: December 11, 2024
Victor Moses has insisted that no game in the EFL Championship is easy ahead of Luton Town's trip to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, December 14.
The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner made a total of 220 Premier League appearances across five different clubs before joining the Hatters on a free transfer in September, following the expiration of his contract with Spartak Moscow.
The former Chelsea wingback was officially named man-of-the-match as the Hatters secured a hard-fought 2-1 win over Stoke City in a midweek fixture at Kenilworth Road.
In the sixth minute, Tom Cannon sprinted clear of the Luton Town defenders and fired a composed shot past goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski to break the deadlock.
But Luton Town came from behind to claim all three points, with Carlton Morris equalizing with a header in the 24th minute, followed by Elijah Adebayo's game-winning goal in the 90th minute.
Adebayo was quickest to respond, firing a first-time finish into the top corner after Tom KrauĂ's deflected effort fell into his path.
Sharing his thoughts before Luton Town's upcoming game against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park, Moses told his club's official website: "Definitely, you know when you win a game, mostly home game, playing away again, we have to put in that extra 120 percent to get another three points.
"No game in the Championship is easy but if we can get another win on Saturday, it would be very massive but we need to switch our focus now on the game on Saturday and try to win."
Moses has played in thirteen games for Luton in the Championship, nine of which he started, scoring once in a 3-1 loss to Plymouth Argyle in September.
Luton Town are fourteenth in the provisional standings with twenty-two points accumulated from twenty games.
