Crawley Town star Adeyemo named in League One TOTW after goal against Peterborough
Published: December 16, 2024
Versatile Crawley Town forward Ade Adeyemo has been recognized for his outstanding performance in the last round of matches in the EFL League One, with Whoscored.com naming him in the Team of the Week.
Adeyemo was among the scorers as Crawley Town lost a seven-goal thriller to Peterborough United at the Weston Homes Stadium on Saturday, December 14, with Super Eagles defender Benjamin Tanimu watching from the sidelines as an unused substitute.
With Crawley Town trailing by two goals, Adeyemo reduced the deficit in the 38th minute by capitalizing on a mistake and firing the ball into the net.
Known mainly for playing as a winger, he was selected as a right-back in the League One Team of the Week.
Against Peterborough United, Adeyemo netted one of his three attempts, recorded nine tackles, and completed five dribbles, earning a WhoScored.com rating of 9.30.
His other goal this season in the League One was a match-winning strike in a 1-0 victory against Cambridge United back in August.
A product of the Millwall academy, he arrived at the Red Devils in the summer of 2023, after spells at non-league clubs Fisher, Beckenham Town, Hayes & Yeading United and Cray Valley Paper Mills.
Last month, Adeyemo signed a contract extension, keeping him at Crawley Town until the end of the 2025-2026 campaign.
