UEFA Conference League: What Tosin said ahead of Chelsea's clash with Legia in Warsaw

Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo has expressed confidence in the Blues' chances of securing a positive result when they face Legia Warszawa in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday evening.

Adarabioyo, who joined Chelsea from Fulham last summer on a free transfer, has become a key player in Enzo Maresca's side.

The 27-year-old, who is of Nigerian descent, is yet to represent England at senior level, keeping the door open for a possible switch to the Super Eagles.

Since arriving at Stamford Bridge, the former Manchester City center-back has impressed with his solid defensive displays and goal contributions, netting four times and registering one assist in 29 appearances across all competitions.

With Chelsea enjoying back-to-back clean sheets in the Premier League against Tottenham and Brentford, Adarabioyo believes the team is in good shape to build on that momentum in Warsaw.

"Back-to-back clean sheets are always important, and we'll be hoping to take that into final few games of the season," Tosin told Chelsea's official website.

"We go to Warsaw on Thursday and we will hope to get a positive result to take back with us to Stamford Bridge."

Tosin is on the radar of Super Eagles manager Eric Chelle ahead of the internationals in the summer but the Malian tactician has yet to reach out to the Manchester City academy graduate.

Chelle is hopeful that Tosin will commit to representing Nigeria as he looks to strengthen the Super Eagles' defense before the 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifiers resume.
