'Welcomed' - Fulham owner finally reacts to Chukwueze's loan move from AC Milan
Published: October 18, 2025
Fulham owner Shahid Khan has spoken for the first time about Samuel Chukwueze's summer move from AC Milan, expressing his delight at the Nigerian winger's arrival in West London.
Chukwueze completed a deadline-day loan switch to the Cottagers during the summer transfer window, with the deal including an option to buy at the end of the season.
Since joining Marco Silva's side, the Super Eagles star has made three substitute appearances, registering an assist in his last outing against Bournemouth before the international break.
In addition to Chukwueze, Fulham also strengthened their ranks with the late acquisitions of Kevin from Shakhtar Donetsk and Jonah Kusi-Asare from Bayern Munich, both arriving just hours before the window closed.
Writing in his programme notes ahead of the London derby against Arsenal, Khan officially welcomed the trio of Kevin, Chukwueze and Jonah Kusi-Asare to Fulham's first team.
"As the transfer window deadline approached, we were delighted to welcome three players to the Men’s first team squad in Kevin, Samuel Chukwueze and Jonah Kusi-Asare," Shahid Khan told Fulham's official website.
"Their arrival is welcomed as all three will bring important and unique dimensions to our style of play, especially once they’ve settled in here in the SW6. Best wishes to Kevin, Samuel and Jonah!"
Chukwueze was unavailable for selection in Fulham's 1-0 defeat to Arsenal on Saturday evening after sustaining a calf injury while on international duty during Nigeria's 2026 World Cup qualifier against Benin's Cheetahs on October 14.
