FC Midtjylland Block HASSAN's Transfer To Augsburg
Published: May 27, 2012FC Midtjylland dribbling sensation Rilwan Hassan has been recognized by his fellow teammates and officials of the Danish club as the Best Young Player of the Year for the 2011 - 2012 season.
The Wolves have qualified for next season's Europa League after finishing third in the Super Liga. Hassan was a vital piece of the midfield, featuring in 32 games our of 33 games played by FC Midtjylland in the championship.
''I feel so happy, being selected as the best young player of FCM. That has been one of my goals since I broke into the first team. I am really happy about this award.
''I just need to continue working harder because we have so many games to play next season after we sealed qualification to play in the Europa League. I'll do everything possible to make sure FCM qualify for the group stages of the competition,'' Hassan disclosed to allnigeriasoccer.com.
The 21-year-old is one of the biggest prospects in Danish football. There is concrete interest for Hassan from clubs in Western Europe, specifically Germany and Switzerland.
''There are a lot of clubs scrambling for my services. Scouts have watched me in action during our league matches. The most concrete interest is from Augsburg, Germany and Young Boys, Switzerland. I think my agent is doing everything possible for me to leave Denmark. But the problem is that FCM are not ready to release me,'' says Rilwan Hassan.
Hassan has made 64 appearances for FC Midtjylland in the Danish top flight.
