Dosu Wants Early Camp For Super Eagles
Published: November 04, 2012As Nigerians look forward to the Super Eagles doing well at next year’s African Nations Cup in South Africa, former Eagles keeper, Dosu Joseph has submitted that coach Keshi needs to start monitoring the players while urging players to resume camp a month before commencement of the continental show piece.
''We all know that the competition comes during the Christmas and New Year period which is December and January, all the NFF and coaches need to do is to monitor the players they want to use for the championship.
''The players should be in camp at least a month before the competition because it is very difficult to have all the players in camp at that time, because all the players want to go home to see their families and enjoy the Christmas with them.
''It is important to start camping very early, let the players be together and let them enjoy the Christmas
together, '' Dosu said.
The Super Eagles will play in group C along side defending champions Zambia, minnows Ethiopia and fellow west Africans in the 16 team competition.
Nigeria missed the last edition of the tournament co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
