UDOH, AMODU Testing With Penarol
Published: December 02, 2012As reported by teledoce.com, world champions with the Golden Eaglets back in 2007 - Kingsley Udoh and Usman Amodu - will spend the next one week training with Uruguay giants C.A. Peñarol in view of a contract offer.
Should the Nigerians impress coach Jorge Goncalves at the end of the tests, they will be offered a contract by the 48 - time Uruguayan champions with effect from January 1.
Udoh, 21, has been courted by Atletico Madrid, Lyon, Olympiakos and Samsunspor but none of the deals materialized.Left back Usman Amodu also has a good CV. He is a member of Nigeria's Olympic National Team.
Agent Diego Schaffer recommended the Nigerians to Penarol. The trialists will return to the country on December 12.
