Valenciennes Join Olympiakos, PAOK In Scramble For Michael Olaitan
Published: December 31, 2012There is a possibility that the Nigerian teenage sensation Michael Olaitan could be playing in the French League.
19 - year - old Olaitan is under contract with Super League club Veria until the summer of 2013. At least two teams in Greece including Olympiakos and PAOK want to take advantage of the youngster's contract situation by signing him in the January market at a bargain fee.
Sports Day Greece reports that Ligue 1 club Valenciennes have submitted a proposal to the leadership of Veria for the acquisition of Michael Olaitan. The French team reportedly offered the sum of 220,000 euros for the outright purchase of the midfielder.
The priority of Veria and Olaitan's manager who brought him to Greece is to sell the player to Olympiakos.
