Salamon Kalou Redeems Pledge To Mikel
Published: February 04, 2013Lille striker Salomon Kalou has redeemed the sum of US$5,000 wager to Mikel Obi after the Eagles 2-1 victory over the Ivory Coast on Sunday in the quarter-finals of the African Nations Cup.
The ex Chelsea player had placed a bet with Mikel pledging to score one of the goals that will knock Nigeria out of the ongoing tournament in South Africa.
''We played a very good Super Eagles, they started the game well and scored a good goal to take the lead. I have redeemed my pledge to Mikel as he won the bet,''says Kalou to Brila FM.
Nigeria and Burkina Faso meet in the semi-finals on Wednesday, February 6th in Durban.
