Emmanuel Emenike Banking On Fans Support
Published: February 08, 2013Spartak Moscow striker Emmanuel Emenike is banking on the support of thousands of Nigerian citizens in South Africa to propel the Super Eagles to victory in Sunday's African Cup of Nations final with Burkina Faso.
''We came to South Africa with high hopes. I am happy to find here many compatriots who support us in all our matches.
''We really feel at home here and this has brought us a lot of confidence. I hope that with the support of our thousands of supporters, we will be able to win the trophy. We will be ready on Sunday,'' Emenike told lebuteur.com.
The final match will be held on Sunday at Soccer City Stadium, Johannesburg. According to CAF Secretary General, Hicham El Amrani, 76,950 tickets have been sold to spectators.
