Nigeria To Play Mexico In Friendly
Recently crowned African champions, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will trade tackles with the Mexico National Team in a friendly match on Friday, May 31st in the United States.

Both countries will use the exhibition game to test-run their strategies ahead of the Fifa Confederations Cup holding in Brazil from June 15 - 30, and upcoming World Cup qualifying fixtures against continental opposition.

Mexico have crucial World Cup qualifiers against Panama and Jamaica in the first week of June. On the other hand, Nigeria have a date with Kenya on June 6th.

Coach Jose Manuel de la Torre plans to invite some of the country's top stars playing in Europe for the friendly game against Nigeria as most of the leagues will be on summer break.

Nigeria and Mexico have met three times in the past, with the African champions drawing two games and losing once.

The Mexico Federation has announced that the match will be played at Reliant Stadium, Houston. Kick - off is 21:00 hours local time.
