Ideye: Main Thing Is Three Points
Published: March 17, 2013
Dynamo Kiev's hard fought 1-0 win against Vorskla on Sunday evening means the capital side are 16 points behind champions and favorites for the title Shakhtar Donetsk.
On the other hand, for the first time since the start of the second stanza of the championship, the Kievites have the consolation of being in a Champions League spot.
Nigeria striker Brown Ideye failed to score for the third game on the bounce. As long as the team keeps winning, that unwelcome statistic is not making him lose sleep.
Interviewed by championat.com, Ideye said : ''We make enough points in every game. Sometimes I get to score, sometimes it's my teammates. Do I believe that I can become a better scorer? I try but scorer's race - not the point . The main thing is three points.''
Ideye has scored 7 goals more than teammate and Ukrainian international forward Andriy Yarmolenko, who has struck 6 goals in the current campaign.
