Sunday Mba: We Are Battle Ready For Kenya
Published: March 21, 2013African Cup of Nations hero Sunday Mba is talking tough ahead of the Super Eagles clash with Kenya on Saturday.
Mba maintains that Nigeria will see off the challenge of the Harambee Stars, even though he is expecting a difficult match.
He told cafonline.com: '' The spirit is very high as you can see. We are all rearing to go. We have put the Nations cup success behind us. Its a new task now, the world cup qualifier and its busy as usual.
''We actually respect them. They have some excellent players and they just appointed a new coach, so I do expect a difficult game from them but we are capable of containing any threat they would pose.''
Historically, Kenya are always the underdogs whenever they play against the African champions. The East Africans are shabby travelers and that general assumption won't change on Saturday.
''I know they are a good side. They have players that can change a game and that we have a better head to head records against them. I don't really know much about them but I know that they would be in Calabar to fight and we are battle ready,''says Mba.
