Exclusive: Watford To Battle Seville, Kuban For Odion Ighalo
Published: April 06, 2013Former Flying Eagles skipper Odion Ighalo is reportedly being watched by teams in the English Premier League including Swansea City and Wigan.
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that there has been no contact between the Premier League clubs and representatives of Ighalo.
A transfer to England is not totally ruled out. Championship side Watford are interested in the acquisition of Ighalo, who is under contract with Udinese until June, 2014.
It should be noted that Watford have an excellent relationship with Udinese and Granada. In fact, the three clubs are owned by Italian businessman Giampaolo Pozzo.
There is also concrete interest from Russia and Spain for Ighalo's signature. A big money move to FC Kuban Krasnodar was turned down in the winter transfer market.
The Russian club has not put his case in the drawer and might come back for him when the market reopens.
Odion Ighalo has a good reputation in Spain and is being chased by a number of clubs in La Liga including Sevilla.
The player's agent will travel to Spain in the coming days to discuss his future.
