For the second season in succession, Nigerian striker Ranti Martins emerged the highest goalscorer in the I - League.

His 26 goals played a vital role as Prayag United finished fourth in the championship.

Ranti Martins's contract with Prayag United runs out at the end of the season. The leadership of the club don't want to lose their prized jewel who is attracting interest from other teams in the I - League.

''All the big clubs in India are chasing me. I have not decided which team to play for as negotiations are ongoing between me and Prayag United as well as other teams,'' Ranti Martins, who has spent nine seasons in India, told allnigeriasoccer.com.

This portal can exclusively reveal that East Bengal and Mohun Bagan are amongst the teams jostling for the signature of Ranti Martins in the summer transfer market.

In the just concluded season, Martins scored in each of the last eight matches in the championship.
