Ganiu Ogungbe Begins Trials With Hapoel Haifa
Published: June 24, 2013Kwara United defender Ganiu Ogungbe arrived Israel on Sunday to begin trials with Premier League club Hapoel Haifa, according to Sports Walla.
The 20 - year - old, who has played 9 times for the Flying Eagles, would be the fourth foreigner at the Sharks if he impresses manager Shlomi Dora at the end of tests.
Even though Hapoel Haifa have signed Lithuanian defender Tadas Kijanskas in the summer transfer window, the leadership of the 1999 Israeli champions wants to bolster the squad with fresh reinforcements.
Ganiu Ogungbe is described as a defender who knows how to time his tackles and has good aerial qualities.
Just last year, he was on the books of high-flying second - tier side C.O.D United.
