Exclusive: Gloria Ofoegbu's Transfer Fee Scares Off Suitors
Published: June 24, 2013After five seasons with Nigeria Women's Football League outfit Rivers Angels, former Falconets skipper Gloria Ofoegbu could depart the shores of the country to play for a foreign club this summer.
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Ofoegbu's performance especially for the National Teams has not gone unnoticed by clubs in the German Bundesliga.
But the snag is that the Germany based agent facilitating the deal has demanded a 'huge sum' of money from clubs interested in the acquisition of the 21 - year - old wing back.
And that has slowed down negotiations between the clubs and Ofoegbu's representative.
Apart from the interest from Germany, Israeli teams are exploring the possibility of signing her in this window.
Blessed with excellent leadership qualities, Gloria Ofoegbu is a tasty prospect for any European club.
She describes herself as a modern day left back, who has excellent positioning, high work rate and outstanding technical skill.
