Nigerian forward Gift Orban scored his seventh goal of the season for Hellas Verona in their Serie A match against Udinese on Monday, 26 January 2026.
Despite Orban’s strike, Verona were defeated 3-1 by Udinese, who featured fellow Nigerian Maduka Okoye in goal.
The match began with Udinese asserting early control, and it was Arthur Atta who opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, slotting the ball into the middle of the goal after a solo run to give Udinese a 1-0 lead.
Verona responded in the 26th minute as Gift Orban capitalized on a defensive lapse, connecting with a cross inside the box to bring the score level at 1-1.
Orban’s goal marked his seventh of the season, continuing his contribution to Verona’s attacking efforts.
Udinese regained the lead in the 58th minute when Alessandro Zanoli fired a rebound into the top left corner, making it 2-1.
The visitors extended their advantage in the 67th minute as Keinan Davis finished a through ball from Atta, securing a 3-1 lead that would remain until full time.
Maduka Okoye played a key role in goal for Udinese, making several important saves to maintain his team’s lead.
