2025 Flying Eagles invitee Ezenwata returned to scoring ways as Chelsea defeated Ipswich Town 3–0 in an U18 Premier League matches at Playford Road on Saturday afternoon.
Chelsea handed starts to three academy players of Nigerian descent Landon Emenalo — son of 1994 World Cup star Michael Emenalo — defender Tayo Subuloye and Ezenwata.
Ezenwata's run of scoring in six consecutive U18 Premier League matches came to an end last weekend when he failed to find the net in the 2–1 win at West Ham United.
Chelsea broke the deadlock in the 21st minute, with Ezenwata heading home a superb cross from Emenalo.
The striker’s stooping header took his tally to eight goals in eight league appearances.
Reggie Walsh doubled the advantage in the 49th minute, putting the Blues firmly in control.
Having earlier provided the assist for Walsh, Mathis Eboué added a third three minutes later, driving his effort past the goalkeeper at the near post.
Chelsea remain unbeaten in the U18 Premier League this season, winning six of their nine fixtures.
