Paris FC coach Antoine Kombouaré will be without Moses Simon on Sunday afternoon when his side face Metz in a Ligue 1 encounter at Stade Saint-Symphorien, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Kombouaré has named a 21-man travelling squad for the trip to Metz, comprising three goalkeepers, seven defenders, six midfielders and five forwards, with Simon omitted from the group.
The Super Eagles assistant captain was not called up for the matchday 30 fixture after feeling discomfort in his right hamstring during training last week.
Since Kombouaré’s appointment as Paris FC coach in February 2026, a manager he previously worked under at Nantes, Simon has made six appearances, registering one assist.
This afternoon's clash with Metz will mark the first time the Nigerian has not been named in the starting line-up since Kombouaré assumed charge.
A victory in Metz would mathematically secure Paris FC’s Ligue 1 survival, given their 11-point cushion and superior goal difference over 16th-placed Auxerre.
Nigeria coach Eric Chelle will be closely monitoring Moses Simon's fitness, with the Malian tactician expected to include him in his plans for this summer's friendlies against Poland and Portugal.
Ahead of the fixtures against the European sides, Chelle is also facing concerns over the fitness of two other key players, Alex Iwobi and Wilfred Ndidi.
