Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that there's no going back on Frank Onyeka's permanent switch to Premier League new boys Coventry City. 

The Sky Blues are yet to publish their retained list following the conclusion of the 2025–2026 season, but it is understood that the Super Eagles midfielder is certain to be among the players kept on for next season.

Onyeka is expected to sign a three-year contract with Coventry City, with the club retaining the option to extend his contract by a further season.

Brentford are set to receive around nine million pounds for sanctioning the Nigerian's departure before the expiry of his contract.

The winter loan agreement that took Onyeka to Coventry included an obligation to buy clause, dependent on promotion to the Premier League. 

With that objective achieved, the clause has now been triggered, and the terms of his long-term deal were already agreed as far back as January.

The FC Ebedei graduate made 14 Championship appearances for Coventry City, scoring once against Derby County, a strike that was shortlisted for the club's Goal of the Season award.

Coventry City are acquiring a midfielder with proven Premier League experience, with Onyeka making 75 appearances in the top-flight for Brentford during his time at the club.
