Super Eagles player ratings: Osimhen leader, Onyedika prolific, Chukwueze playmaker, Simon dazzles

Allnigeriasoccer.com presents its ratings for the Super Eagles players after their comfortable 3-1 victory over Uganda at Morocco’s Fez Stadium.

The starters

Goalkeeper

Francis Uzoho (7/10): Uzoho put in a decent performance on his return to the team and was largely solid, with little he could do to prevent Uganda’s goal.

Defenders 

Bruno Onyeamachi (7/10): The left-back came close to scoring his first goal for Nigeria in the second half, but his effort struck the side netting.

Calvin Bassey (7.5/10): Before being withdrawn at the start of the second half, Bassey delivered a solid display, effectively keeping Uche Ikpeazu quiet.

Igoh Ogbu (7/10): Ogbu turned in a reliable defensive performance, showing composure and strength at the back.

Ryan Alebiosu (7.5/10): Energetic on the right flank, Alebiosu impressed on his full debut with an assured and lively performance.

Midfielders and forwards 

Raphael Onyedika (9.5/10): A standout performer on the night, the Club Brugge midfielder was excellent throughout and capped his display with a well-taken brace.

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru  (7.5/10): The Lazio midfielder delivered a strong showing and provided the assist for Nigeria’s opening goal.

Samuel Chukwueze (8.5/10): Chukwueze was lively before being substituted and assisted the goals scored by Rapahel Onyedika. 

Moses Simon (7/10): A constant threat down the left wing, Simon was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet in the second half.

Paul Onuachu (8/10): The Trabzonspor forward continued his fine club form, finding the net in the first half with a composed finish.

Victor Osimhen (6.5/10): Although he did not get on the scoresheet, he led by example and worked hard throughout

The substitutes

Chidozie Awaziem  (5/10): The Nantes defender had a chance early in the second half but failed to convert.

Tochukwu Nnadi (5.5/10): Nnadi displayed a glimpse of his abilities and was fortunate to escape injury after a tough challenge in midfield.

Zaidu Sanusi (6/10): Introduced to help stabilize the defence after Nigeria conceded, Sanusi did his job without fuss.

Akor Adams (N/A): The Sevilla striker replaced Victor Osimhen in the closing minutes of the match.

Salim Fago Lawal (N/A): The NK Istra 1961 forward came on late for Samuel Chukwueze.
