Super Eagles Star Ahmed Musa Is N0.97M Richer After Winning Saudi PL Player Of The Week
Super Eagles assistant captain Ahmed Musa has been awarded the
Player of the Week in the Saudi Professional League for matchday three.
The former Leicester City star had been nominated for the award
along with Bafétimbi Gomis (Al-Hilal), Omar Al Somah (Al Ahli),
Al-Muwallad Al-Harbi (Ittihad) and Jehad Al-Hussain (Taawon), and
scooped the award at the end of voting.
Musa netted his first ever hat-trick for a foreign club as Al-Nassr
thrashed Al Qadisiyah 3-0 in his first game after returning from
international duty on September 19.
It is worth mentioning that the winners of the weekly accolade
received 10,000 riyals each (equivalent of N966,600.00 in Nigerian
currency), while the Player of the Month will be paid 50,000 riyals
each.
Musa's coach, Uruguayan José Daniel Carreño, won the Coach of the
Week award and Al-Ahli fans were chosen as the best supporters in the
third round, after 41,315 spectators watched their 2-0 win vs Al Hazm at
the King Abdullah Sports City (Jeddah).
Ahmed Musa has started and gone the distance in all the four
matches contested by Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League in the new season.
