Super Eagles striker Moffi registers assist on full Primeira Liga debut for Porto

Terem Moffi finally made his full Primeira Liga debut for FC Porto as the Portuguese giants were held to a 2–2 draw by Famalicão on Saturday night.

The Nigerian striker, who arrived at Porto during the winter transfer window, was handed his first start in the league after a series of appearances from the bench.

Before this milestone, Moffi had featured in six Primeira Liga matches, all as a substitute, as he gradually adapted to life at the club under the guidance of the Italian coach Francesco Farioli.

His inclusion in the starting lineup against Famalicão marked a significant step in his progression, reflecting growing confidence from the coaching staff.

Moffi led the line for Porto and provided a physical presence in attack, contributing with his movement and link-up play, although he was unable to find the back of the net.

However, the OGC Nice loanee registered an assist in the 35th minute, bringing the ball down with his chest in the penalty area before Alberto Costa rifled it into the net.

Since making the switch to Portugal, the forward has begun to make his mark across competitions.

He has scored two goals in all competitions for Porto, demonstrating his ability to contribute in key moments despite limited minutes on the pitch.

The match itself proved to be a closely fought contest, with both sides sharing the spoils after four goals.

Porto will see the result as a missed opportunity, but the game offered positives, particularly the continued integration of new arrivals like Moffi.

Having already made his full debut in European competition earlier in his Porto career, this first league start represents another important milestone for the Nigerian international.

As the season progresses, Moffi will be eager to build on this opportunity and establish himself as a regular starter.
