Super Eagles trio Leon Balogun, Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey are in contention to suit up for Rangers in their Scottish Premiership clash against city rivals Celtic on Sunday, manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst suggested at his pre-match press conference as he provided a squad update.
Balogun, Aribo and Bassey have returned to Glasgow after international duty with the Super Eagles for their World Cup playoff against Ghana.
While the midfielder and central defender started both games and went the distance in the reverse fixture in Abuja, the left-back made his international debut off the bench in Kumasi before making his starting debut in Abuja.
The fact that Balogun and Aribo completed the match on Tuesday evening suggests that they came through the game unscathed from an injury point of view but Bassey looked to be struggling a bit during the game as he was the victim of several fouls by the Ghanaian players.
"It's the first time we're complete. Only James Sands is coming back this afternoon from his stay with the United States," Van Bronckhorst said on Friday.
"All the players came back fit and the only injuries we have for Sunday is Ianis Hagi and Morelos, but all the other players are available to feature."
Aribo, Bassey and Balogun were given minutes in the 3-0 defeat to the Hoops back in February.
Rangers head into the fixture at Ibrox Stadium with 73 points, two less than Celtic, after thirty one matches played.
