Super Eagles camp in Cairo continues to take shape with the arrival of FC Porto defender Zaidu Sanusi, bringing the number of players currently in camp to eleven as preparations intensify.
Sanusi linked up with the squad to join Francis Uzoho, Stanley Nwabali, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, Amas Obasogie, Semi Ajayi, Ademola Lookman, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Igho Ogbu and Tochukwu Nnadi, all of whom have reported for duty ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The early arrivals have settled into camp as the technical crew continues coordination ahead of the first training session scheduled for later today.
Team officials confirmed that twelve additional players are expected to arrive in Cairo today, which will further strengthen the squad and bring camp closer to full capacity.
The Super Eagles are scheduled to hold their first official training session at 8:00 pm local time.
The session will take place inside the main bowl of the Cairo International Stadium, offering the players an early opportunity to familiarize themselves with the pitch and surroundings ahead of Tuesday's friendly game against Egypt.
Coaching staff are expected to use the session to begin tactical work, fitness assessments and light drills as players gradually integrate into the team environment.
With several players still expected, the initial training will focus on recovery, movement and basic coordination.
